Table Top Mountain is situated 30 km north of Albury Wodonga. It is a 500 ha, private bushland property owned and operated by the Paterson family. It was purchased in 1994 with the idea of providing a natural bushland environment for people who enjoy nature, peace and tranquillity. Our aim is to keep this land in its natural state for this and future generations to appreciate.
We have built approximately 20 km of walking tracks along which there are a variety of box, gum, stringybark, kurrajong and acacia trees. In spring and summer there is also a flush of wildflowers. Approximately 80 native plants have been identified on the mountain.
The bushland abounds with wildlife. There are many kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, goannas, snakes, lizards, wombats and possums. There are also many birds on Table Top Mountain. A bird survey has been carried out by an ornithologist who identified 140 bird species on the Mountain. Guided walking tours can be arranged if you are interested in enjoying our natural bushland.
Our function centre, Peregrines, is named after falcons which live on the mountain. It is a family run business which caters for weddings, corporate functions and other special events. Built in 1999 and constantly evolving, Peregrines is a rustic, romantic venue with an open air chapel, perfect for people who enjoy nature.
We have one cottage, Kookaburra Cottage, for guests to stay in. It accommodates six people and is beautifully positioned in the bush surroundings.
Elizabeth is the owner/operator of Peregrines and up until last year was also the head chef. She is passionate about seeing the visitors to Table Top Mountain create memorable experiences in the beautiful surroundings of the mountain. Elizabeth along with her husband Roger have owned Table Top Mountain for twenty years and have slowly created a venue that today is one of Albury's most unique and distinctive venues of the region.
